To Measure Distance in a Sheet Model

Consider the example of measuring the distance in a sheet model referenced at a scale of 1:600:


  1. In the sheet model, start the Measure Distance tool (Drawing > Analyze > Measure).
  2. Turn on the Use reference scale checkbox.
  3. Enter a datapoint to define the start and end points for measurement.


    The distance is measured to match the referenced design model. The reference scale is factored in to show true distance.

  4. Turn off the Use reference scale checkbox and retake the measurement.


    The reference scale is ignored for the measurement and the distance is measured on the sheet model.

Use reference scale allows you to measure true model units based on the scale of reference in the sheets.
